The Caroline Town Board on Feb. 19 approved a contract selection for trail work that will advance design of the South Hill Recreation Way. By Resolution 71 (motion by Supervisor Mark Witmer, seconded by Councilmember Tim Murray) the board authorized the Town of Ithaca to execute a contract with MJ Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying, P.C., for concept-level design and construction cost estimates for the section from Burns Road to Banks Road at a bid price of $34,336.
The resolution notes the Town of Ithaca selected MJ Engineering and that funding for the work will be provided by a Tompkins County Tourism Grant. The motion carried with all five members voting in favor (Ayes: Witmer, Murray, Kelley-Mackenzie, Brown, Bates). The board record lists the selection and the funding source; contract execution will occur through the Town of Ithaca as the contracting municipality.
