The council approved authorization to prepare changes to the Town Code regarding animals after Chief Berry explained portions of the code are no longer relevant to current operations.
Chief Berry said the revisions would "remove some parts of code that are no longer relevant regarding the animal shelter and would make working with county easier if they do put a shelter in town." The council voted unanimously to prepare the ordinances.
The motion authorizes the town attorney and staff to draft amendments; no final text or timeline for adoption was presented at the meeting.
