The board reviewed and approved the USDA adult-lunch equity tool for the 2025–26 school year. Nutrition staff explained the federal tool requires recalculation of adult-meal prices and recommended raising adult lunch to $5.16 and adult breakfast to roughly $3.00; the board moved and approved the tool by voice vote.
Staff told the board the student-meal program will not be changed at this time and said the adjustment applies to adults (staff and visitors) who purchase meals; no further budgetary impacts to student meal eligibility were reported in the discussion.
