District administrators presented October enrollment figures and said the district is tracking above last year’s counts. Myron reported the district had, as of the morning count, "643 approved kids for elementary, 742 kids approved for middle school, and 1,881 kids approved for high school," and that the district is approximately 240 students above the same date last year.
Board members discussed how enrollment affects budgeting and the state funding formula; staff noted October enrollment will be finalized in December with OSPI and that those finalized numbers will be used for SCAP/state funding calculations tied to potential bond planning.
