Maintenance chief details summer repairs, lead-water testing and equipment replacements

Bill Henderson, the district maintenance lead, summarized a long list of summer projects and ongoing repairs, saying crews installed new flooring in the elementary kitchen and concessions, upgraded gym lighting to LED, and replaced projectors at both schools.
Henderson said the district replaced roughly 80–90 faucets, hoses and stops as part of lead-mitigation work and that follow-up testing is scheduled: "Testing should be November 22." He also reported damage to a large generator controller after a 17-hour power outage; parts have been ordered and he said Cummins Northwest has provided pricing. On the biomass plant, several variable-frequency drives are failing and he gave an initial replacement estimate: "about $28,000" for four units. Henderson said staff are exploring lower-cost purchase and installation options and have transitioned to a new monitoring vendor and a new FMX work-order system to improve reliability.
