Commissioners hear delays to kayak-kiosk program after DNR pause; hazard mitigation workshop scheduled

Fire departments reported progress on water-rescue training, with West Lebanon having completed a water-rescue operations technician course and other departments working to acquire boats and training. An agency official reminded the board of a multi-hazard mitigation plan workshop scheduled for tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the public library learning center, and said maintaining an approved plan keeps Warren County eligible for FEMA mitigation grant funding.
Commissioners asked staff to continue coordination with DNR and local fire departments and to ensure required town representatives attend the hazard-mitigation workshop.
