The Havre de Grace City Council on Aug. 3 approved a first amendment to the master property-acquisition agreement connected with the Susquehanna River Rail Bridge project (Amtrak). The amendment updates exhibits and clarifies additional properties and easements that Amtrak will need to complete property acquisition for staging, construction and permanent conveyance where required.
City counsel said the change "clarifies several additional properties" Amtrak will need and that the amendment updates exhibits to reflect current acquisition needs rather than reworking the prior ordinance. Council voted 5–0 to pass the amendment and scheduled a public hearing and second reading for Aug. 17 at City Hall.
