District gives midyear LCAP update; pilots cellphone pouches and classroom monitoring

On metrics, staff gave examples for ELA and English learner goals (baseline/desired rates were cited) and described LCAP expenditures tied to reading/math interventions, counseling grants, security cameras and technology upgrades funded in part by E-Rate and earmark grants. The board treated the presentation as informational; staff said the update will be part of a listening campaign before final LCAP revisions are returned for approval later in the cycle.
