The Maple School District Board on Aug. 8 approved multiple personnel and routine consent items. The board approved hiring classified employee Elvia Morales as an instructional aide; the motion was moved by Trustee Tyler Rogers and seconded by Trustee Randy Bloemhof and carried with a recorded Ayes: 3.
Separately, the board approved two interdistrict transfer applications for kindergarten students (motion by Tyler Rogers, second by Joel Ackerknecht). The consent agenda was also approved and included a contract with the Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS AGT #25-141179), renewal of Renaissance Star Reading for 2024–25, an employee resignation effective July 31, 2024, MOUs for school psychologist services and consortium math coach services, and acceptance of donations: Tradition of Excellence Foundation $2,000 (tables and benches for new playground) and Shafter Rotary $2,000 (PLTW Computer Science Launch).
