Council adopts consolidated engineering and permitting standards to streamline development review

"We're currently working on streamlining our permitting process, which currently consists of multiple various permitting types depending on the developer's project, make sure it's just work... So all the revisions we're requesting will just they're just terminology changes. There's no technical standard revision," the presenter said, describing the change as primarily administrative and intended to reduce redundant document submission.
Council moved to adopt the ordinance and related amendments (including chapter 16 changes); motions were seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff said the package includes three separate books/presentations covering the consolidated standards and related amendments.
