He said the district would adopt a simple red/yellow/green status system so the public can clearly see which initiatives are complete, in progress, or stuck and in need of urgent attention.
Torres Rodriguez also summarized a monitor letter dated July 27 that identified eight areas where the district "fell behind," including board policy review and monitoring protocols, a professional development plan, comprehensive assessment program documentation, freshman-to-sophomore promotion evidence, master scheduling, secondary course-of-study publication, night/twilight high school partnership readiness, and an unstarted high school redesign plan. He framed the violations as linked to outcome data and said the district will prioritize targeted, data-driven follow-up.
