District adds medication administration policy to handbook after parent questions

Chair (S1) noted that the administration of medication had not previously appeared in the handbook but that many parents raised questions about the process; as a result, the district added a medication administration policy into the student handbook. “So we went ahead and posted in our student handbook the administration of medication policy,” the Chair said.
The Chair said the handbook consolidates related procedures (searches, suspension processes, appeals) into cohesive sections and that the new medication policy will be part of that consolidation when the handbook is presented to the full board.
