Coleman moved to approve the contract and Trustee Tom Luber seconded. Roll call was unanimous.
English said the village will select specific houses for potholing, rather than digging every service line, to confirm which have lead. The work is time-sensitive because of grant or regulatory deadlines, he said. Trustees did not discuss the contract rate or schedule in detail during the meeting; no start date was specified.
The approval was recorded as a formal motion in the special meeting minutes. Next procedural steps include contracting with Killion and scheduling the potholing work; trustees and staff indicated the village will follow the grant's timelines.
