"We are just drinking from a fire hose with the state legislature deciding things for us and then making us jump through hoops to figure out how to implement it," the Chair said, urging members to attend or watch the recorded session. The board noted some items will take effect on specific dates (September 1 or Sept. 15 mentioned) and that the town will need follow-up work sessions to align town regulations with state law.
Members asked staff to track attendance and budget implications for conferences; the board flagged that NHMA fall-conference dates (Oct. 28–29) might be in-person and asked Tammy to get a head-count to avoid exceeding the training budget.
