Clerk Catherine Linan administered the oath of office to Mark Rentas, swearing him in as a trustee of the South Chicago Heights Police Pension Board during the Feb. 2 regular meeting. Mayor Terry Matthews called Rentas forward for the swearing following his public comment praising the Public Works Department.
The minutes record the swearing but do not list term length or the vacancy the appointment fills. Rentas had addressed the board earlier in the meeting to commend the Public Works Department for handling water main breaks and snow plowing.
