South Jacksonville board approves $280,209.12 in monthly payables; budget delayed to September

The Village of South Jacksonville Board of Trustees unanimously approved the monthly payables totaling $280,209.12 at its Aug. 8, 2024 meeting. President Richard Samples presented the list of bills; Trustee Tom Jordan moved for approval and Trustee J.W. Coleman seconded, with roll call showing unanimous support.
Acting Treasurer Mindy Olson said the board postponed final approval of the annual budget to the September meeting because the required public notice had not yet been posted. Olson also provided trustees with a spreadsheet detailing expenses for the village water plant project and said the recent audit was completed so far with no major issues reported.
