Trustees hear water-plant update; lead-line potholing set to begin Sept. 30

President Richard Samples updated trustees that the water plant has been running all week but the softener-plant brine skid pumps are not holding prime on their own; the vendor working on the plant is investigating the problem. Samples also told trustees that oil-and-chip street work is complete and the village splash pad is closed for the season.
Samples said potholing for lead service lines will begin Sept. 30, 2024. He also advised the board that the village received a reimbursable grant for generators at lift stations, noting the village must purchase generators first and seek reimbursement under the grant terms.
