Mayor Terry Matthews presented Resolution 2026-R-1 and Trustee Eric Stanton moved for approval; Trustee Daryl Crudup seconded and the roll call vote was six ayes, zero nays.
The resolution authorizes an agreement to produce a formal assessment that fire departments use to evaluate risk, response times and resource deployment. Trustee discussion at the meeting was procedural and did not change the recommendation; the motion passed without amendment. The board’s approval launches a formal planning process expected to inform future staffing and equipment decisions for the fire department.
