The Borough Council authorized submission of a Green Acres grant application to fund improvements at Fort Billings Park, including a walking path, upgraded parking and a large pavilion intended to support the Borough’s 250th-anniversary activities.
Administrator Marino presented the project rendering and credited Triad & Associates for the grant application work. Scott Armato, the Borough’s grant writer with Triad, told the council “this is a 50/50 Grant application that is being voted on tonight.” Council members noted 48 survey responses that informed the plan and agreed to file the application (R.26.53).
The resolution authorizes staff to advance the Green Acres submission to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and positions the Borough to seek matching funds to complete the proposed improvements ahead of summer celebrations.
