Chair clarifies Otisfield Cove Road is a public easement, not town beach property

Chair Hal Ferguson clarified the legal status: a 1977 deed established a public easement from the town road end to the boat launch, and an April 1, 1980 record defined three parking spaces. "The town expresses no interest in this property; it does not constitute town property, nor is it classified as a town beach," Ferguson said, adding the easement crosses private property.
