Planning Board to seek MOCA funding to craft ADU ordinance; AVCOG to support waste grant work

Peter Tilkemeier told the Select Board the Planning Board will apply to the Maine Office of Community Affairs (MOCA) for funding to draft an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) ordinance to ensure compliance with recent state legislative changes. He said the proposal would be prepared by the Planning Board with materials submitted for Select Board review where required.
Tilkemeier also reported that a representative from the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments (AVCOG) will work with the Conservation and Resilience committees to pursue grant funding aimed at improving solid waste management and reducing disposal to transfer stations.
