Salinas launches year-long Leadership and Supervisory Academy for city employees

She described additional opportunities such as stretch assignments and said the city intends to extend the training to executive and management teams so all levels align with the new training goals.
Panelists acknowledged cultural change takes time. Lisa said meaningful change "is not gonna take, you know, go overnight," but noted early signs that the program's values are being adopted in daily conversations. The discussion did not identify program funding sources or specific timelines for future cohorts beyond the statement that more cohorts are planned.
