Students set to perform 'Once Upon a Mattress'; board hears fundraiser and IVVC updates

Student Board Member A. Warner reported that the Sandwich Theater Group has started rehearsals for Once Upon a Mattress, which will run March 19–21, and noted there are three student actors and two student crew members participating from Somonauk. Board Member Ashley Harper reported that registration for the Somonauk Slam fundraiser on March 15 has opened. Board Member Norm Johnson noted that H. Gilchrist was recently named an Outstanding Student by IVVC and reminded the board of a Policy Meeting on Jan. 15 and a strategic workshop scheduled for Jan. 28.
The administrative reports section provided several calendar items and student-activity updates for the district; no motions or votes were required on these items during the Jan. 20 meeting.
