The Somonauk CUSD 432 Board of Education approved the consent agenda Dec. 16, which included minutes, treasurer's and cafeteria reports, invoices and the enrollment and FOIA reports. The motion to approve the consent items was made by Corey Britt, seconded by Erik Wold, and passed with all members recorded as "Yea." Board Member Norm Johnson publicly thanked Whitsons for the monthly dining report.
Kathy Tentler and Brenda Warhurst, speaking for Whitsons, told the board that "Whitsons is focused on increasing breakfast participation in all three buildings, as well as incorporating suggestions that were made from the student focus group." Superintendent Eric Benson also thanked Whitsons for serving breakfast on Veterans Day. No additional action was taken beyond accepting the reports and acknowledgments.
