Neighbors win 30-day abeyance for Harvest Drive property cited for junk and overgrowth

The respondent, Patricia Hone, said she has limited mobility and caretaking demands, described recent personal hardships and requested more time; she disputed some characterizations of the backyard and said parts of the property are not accessible to her.
After weighing the evidence and hearing the resident's circumstances, the board found a violation and voted to hold the $150 fine in abeyance for 30 days while staff monitors for remediation. Staff said if the owner fails to comply or pay after the appeal period, the county can place a lien and continue enforcement actions.
