Commission approves $2,767.50 Safe Harbor invoice; agrees to simplify South Cove entrance markers

The Essex Harbor Management Commission voted to approve the second invoice from Safe Harbor for the annual service contract and installation of seasonal harbor aids in the amount of $2,767.50. Jeff Going made the motion and Kit Schellens seconded; the motion passed unanimously 4–0–0.
Commission members discussed that several existing entrance stakes at South Cove had not been replaced and agreed to simplify the marking system by installing one red mooring float and one green mooring float to clearly identify the entrance. Commissioners assigned coordination of installation to Dockmaster Alex Twachtman, Commissioner Jeff Going, and Harbor Master Paul Riggio.
