The committee reviewed a Trane payment application for ongoing lighting and controls work (listed at $794,000) and a Pie Barker invoice related to an ESE sprinkler evaluation; members questioned whether the cost aligned with a four-day evaluation and asked staff to verify contract and invoice details. Staff said the sprinkler evaluation began July 27 and a report is expected before the September Properties & Facilities meeting. "I'm hoping to have a report on September's P and F meeting," a facilities leader said.
Other updates included JTL and Smithfield boiler and water-heater replacements (work scheduled around Aug. 20), districtwide BAS reprogramming completed and hardware installation continuing, and minor software tweaks at the new JTL TV studio that staff expect to finish before school starts. The committee accepted the status update and will track payment application clarifications before final approvals are processed.
