R&R Pub & Grille requested a temporary street closure on Main Street from the alley between Nana Rosa's and the Milk House to Blackhawk Street on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. for a Cancer Bike Ride; council approved the temporary street closings and noted there could be 150-200 bikes/cars during that hour.
Councilmembers Wambold and Bueghly updated the council on RAGBRAI preparations, reporting 40-50 people attended a town hall event and vendors will begin arriving July 22 to set up. FirstNet Cellular requested to set up temporary cell towers at Heartland Co-op two days prior to RAGBRAI; Trepp moved to approve the towers on the condition there is no charge to the city, and the motion passed unanimously.
