Resident criticizes county handling of landfill expansion and DNR communications

Lukens urged supervisors to weigh tourism and long‑term environmental health when evaluating expansion and said the DNR had delivered 25 pages documenting incompleteness determinations related to monitoring and leakage concerns. Board members did not take formal action during public comment; subsequent items on the agenda included committee reports and scheduled follow‑up with staff and the DNR on landfill materials.
