Treasurer and acting village clerk Mindy Olson presented the proposed Appropriations Ordinance for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2024 and ending April 30, 2025 and made copies available in the clerk’s office for public inspection. "There were no comments from the public or Board of Trustees," the record shows.
President Richard Samples told those in attendance that because the agenda had not been posted 48 hours in advance, no formal action could be taken at the meeting and the items reviewed would be considered at a later meeting. The board instead scheduled a special Committee of the Whole meeting for Sept. 19, 2024, to take any required votes on the appropriation and related budget items.
The board reviewed listed action items for later approval, including monthly payables noted in the packet as $254,725.64, minutes from August meetings, an Ordinance Appropriating Taxes for FY2024–25, and the FY2024–25 budget. No votes were recorded on those items at this session because of the posting issue.
The audit presentation was announced for the Committee of the Whole meeting in October; Olson said QuickBooks has been installed on the office computers and that she is configuring the system ahead of the audit.
