At the Aug. 4 administrative session the board considered two advisory‑body appointments.
Staff recommended seven nominees for the Public Health Advisory Council from a January–March recruitment; Commissioner Savas moved approval and the clerk called the poll. The board approved the slate 4–0.
The board then considered one appointment to the Local Public Safety Coordinating Council to fill a vacancy tied to the juvenile department director position, and appointed Michelle Barrera. The clerk called the poll and the motion passed 4–0.
Both actions were procedural appointments and will be recorded on the Aug. 6 business meeting consent agenda and in the board’s minutes.
