The Orleans Town Council opened its meeting with the swearing-in of Officer Caden Mundy and a short prayer. Chair (Speaker 3) introduced the item, saying the first business was “the swearing in for officer Caden Mundy.”
A speaker who recited the oath stated, “I, Kane l Lundy. Do solemnly swear…That I will support the constitution of The United States,” and signed the oath form following the ceremony. Attendees exchanged congratulations after the oath was completed. The chair welcomed the new officer to the town police force and wished him protection and success in his duties.
The swearing-in was ceremonial; no formal council action beyond signing the oath was recorded at that time. Family and friends of the new officer were present for the event.
