Mark West board notes county approval of 2024–25 budget and LCAP

Superintendent Dr. Rachel Valenzuela told trustees the approvals were received as board correspondence at the Oct. 8 meeting. Valenzuela said the district continues to monitor enrollment trends and financial impacts from recent regional events, and noted, "we are still down about 100 students since the fires," a figure the district is tracking as it models revenue and staffing needs.
The letters were entered into the record as part of board correspondence; no formal board action was required beyond acceptance of the correspondence. The board also received the district’s Oct. 3 enrollment report and a separate Educator Effectiveness Grant report for 2023–24 during the meeting.
