Staff recommended promulgating administrative regulations to standardize waitlist and admissions procedures and creating a centralized database and formal appeals process for denied applicants.
Shane Stevens said KDVA "agreed with the recommendation on improving waiting lists and is currently piloting a revised process." The agency committed to report progress and provide a preliminary report on behavioral health impacts using new admissions data to legislative committees by October.
