Committee raises safety and fire-lane concerns about proposed ALD helicopter display on Mulberry Street

The applicant said blades would remain closed and that a rotor crane would be used to assemble the pieces on site.
Committee members raised multiple concerns about the proposal's length and impact on sidewalk flow and the 15-foot fire lane. "I am definitely concerned about the fire lane and impeding the sidewalk would be my main concerns," one committee member said. The applicant said they would schedule a walk-through with the Entertainment PD and NYPD and would shorten the display if Sapo determined the length or siting caused unsafe conditions.
