Ellis Brooklyn plans curbside fragrance sampling and ice pops at Broadway near Prince

An applicant representing Ellis Brooklyn told CB2 the Aug. 15 activation will use a 22-foot step van and hand out samples of perfume and ice pops to passersby, aiming to distribute roughly 1,000 items across the day.
"We will be giving out samples of perfume and also ice pops," the applicant said, and added that two security officers (former NYPD) would be on-site to manage egress and the queue. Neighbors raised concerns about Saturday crowding and amplified sound; Pete Davies of the Broadway Residents Coalition questioned whether a food-truck-style setup would set a precedent on Broadway and asked the applicant to sit as far north of the corner as feasible.
