The board approved a set of contracts and claims and accepted a capital-credit retirement package during routine business on June 16. A motion to approve contracts and a motion to pay claims both passed on voice votes.
The commissioners also approved a three‑year agreement with Nemont for high-speed Internet to support the sheriff's office link to the planned tower (to be paid from the 911/public-safety account). A motion to purchase a library computer from a local vendor was also approved; the purchase will come out of the library’s current fiscal-year line. Earlier in the meeting the board approved a $9,000 airport grant as well.
Auditors asked the county to grant read-only remote access to financial records to reduce on-site audit time; commissioners approved that approach and asked staff to follow secure protocols when providing those files.
