Facilities staff updated the board on multiple North Campus projects, the water-well rental project and playground improvements across sites.
On the water-well project staff reported infrastructure is in the ground and concrete pouring was scheduled: "We're pouring concrete tomorrow. We're laying asphalt." For the community-center project, the architect returned comments and staff said they expect to have permit approval in July and hope to bid the work and bring a contractor recommendation to the August board meeting.
The presenter said the 3rd–5th playground is scheduled to start July 9 and take approximately two weeks, and staff described potential change orders to tidy a disturbed dirt patch near play areas (possible asphalt to the concrete curb). Trustees discussed options for surfacing, ADA‑compliant rubber surfacing for playgrounds and alternatives for the south parking lot to control costs. The board authorized staff to seek bids and, separately, to use summer contracting authority if necessary under Resolution 25‑24.
