Regional tobacco coalition funding dwindles; county staff to continue education without dedicated dollars

"So, our staff still is interested in, you know, ensuring that our youth aren't getting access to tobacco. We want to continue education. We just won't have dollars per se directed specifically to that," the committee member said. Board members discussed continuing education through partnerships despite the funding decline.
Staff said they will look for alternate avenues to continue compliance checks and youth education without the previous grant levels.
