The board reviewed a building permit from a utilities company to remove an existing 11x25 structure at a tower site and install new antennas and communications equipment while leaving the tower structure unchanged. The application included an 8x8 equipment shelter, a 35-kilowatt diesel generator and a 500-gallon propane tank.
After questions about the installation, a motion to approve the permit was moved and seconded; the board carried the motion by voice vote. Staff will follow standard permitting procedures regarding placement and safety of the generator and fuel storage.
