Parks Committee schedules May ribbon-cutting at Pauline Pierce Park, considers summer volleyball league

Chairperson Ashley Britt told the Parks Committee at its Feb. 24 meeting that the Village will hold a ribbon-cutting at Pauline Pierce Park in May to thank the Blantons for their donation and to unveil the Blantons' charity, Coopers Cuddles. The event is planned to include a pickleball instructor and light snacks and drinks.
Britt said Saylor Micks has approached the Village about organizing a summer volleyball league at Horse Fair Park with other local establishments; Britt, President Bob McMahon and Village staff will meet with Micks to discuss details. The committee did not record dates or a sponsorship plan at the meeting; follow-up was left to staff.
