Principals gave routine site reports at the Nov. 12 meeting. Emily Todd reported a successful Read on Sonoma assembly and a 'Lunch on the Lawn' attended by 225 parents. Kelli Osorio said two Mark West Elementary students reached the highest Read On Sonoma level, and the Safe Routes to School Bike Rodeo was successful. Lisa Chapman noted Mark West Charter's enrollment lottery for 2025/26 will be held Jan. 9, 2025 and that 41 families attended a parent information night (33 submitted applications).
Principal Patrick Eagle reported that San Miguel's Walk-a-thon raised a record $64,000.00. The minutes list classroom activities across grade levels (e.g., 3rd graders studying lifecycles, 4th grade studying the Gold Rush) and that several grade levels participated in field trips and events. These reports were informational and no board action was taken on the items themselves.
