City staff presented proposed annexations of a new development (Tract 7394) into several Community Facilities Districts (CFDs) to fund fire protection, police services and landscaping/street maintenance. The resolutions of intention begin the annexation process and set March 13 as the public hearing for final consideration.
"Once the annexation is complete, the property owners of the project will be required to pay annual special taxes," staff told the council, noting the CFD revenues are intended to offset increased service demands from the new development.
Council adopted the resolutions of intention (resolutions 2026-13, 2026-14 and 2026-12) and advanced the project to the public hearing stage. Staff said the annexation will keep service levels from being shifted onto existing residents.
