Board President Anupam Chuk Sudu and Treasurer Patrick Kehoe reported that the district is preparing an advocacy and outreach plan for a sinking-fund millage the board expects to place on the Nov. 3, 2026 ballot. The board said members will take part in forums and will use district-prepared one-pagers and slide decks to educate voters about how sinking-fund dollars may be used.
Kehoe and the president described a coordinated approach that includes student groups and community organizations; administration will produce a dedicated web page with factual information about the proposal, legal uses of funds, and frequently asked questions. Trustees discussed partnering with the district communications team to produce materials and having board members participate in outreach events.
