James Roberts, a Bluff City resident who gave his address as 231 Lakeview Drive, asked the board whether code enforcement had taken action on signs attached to telephone poles and requested that agenda items and materials be attached to posted agendas so residents could review them ahead of meetings. He said he had contacted the business that owned the poles and asked whether the town could contact the business to take down the signs.
Chris, a town staff member, replied that when an ordinance is going through its readings the town posts materials to the newspaper and website after the first reading and before the second reading/public hearing because changes sometimes occur after the first reading. Chris also noted there had been outreach to the pole owner to confirm the town could proceed with enforcement. "Have you had any luck with regard to the code enforcement by chance?" Roberts asked during his remarks.
