Mark Heyliger, Road Department Director, introduced Derek Renbarger as Interim Superintendent and said Renbarger "has 19 years experience at the Road Department." Heyliger reported pothole patching countywide, ongoing mowing and brush clearing, targeted ditch and shoulder cutting, and noted that calcium chloride treatment for gravel roads is set to start May 26 (weather permitting). He also said sealcoat operations are scheduled to begin June 1 and that local construction projects started April 10.
Heyliger told the committee that three waivers related to road work are being forwarded to the Finance Committee for consideration. The road operations update was informational and did not include a formal committee vote in the transcript.
