Doug Pace, chair of the Bike Bluffton committee, thanked the advisory committee for past support and said the event drew approximately 372 riders last year and is projecting slightly over 400 this year. He described outreach to cycling clubs in Atlanta, Greenville and Charleston and explained changes to the route to attract more riders.
Committee members questioned sponsorship and budget line items and noted that last year's awarded funds were spent to the penny. After discussion a motion to fund the event at the committee's agreed figure passed by voice vote.
