The board approved the district's comprehensive school safety plans (CSSP) and then held a specific request about emergency readiness.
Trustee Ricardo Padilla said the district should know exactly what emergency supplies and generators are available at each campus in earthquake‑prone country. "I wanna know how many generators do we have at each school?" he asked, requesting a one‑page list per site that details emergency equipment and supplies so the district will not be caught "with our pants down" following a disaster.
Administrators confirmed the CSSP item was on the agenda and the motion to approve was carried 5–0. Trustees said they would like staff to physically verify the contents of storage containers if necessary and provide the requested one‑page inventories in a future Friday memo so the board can confirm readiness for a community sheltering event.
