LaVois, a Developmental Services staff member, told the DD Committee that the group supported employment RFP will include four main components—scope of work, evaluation criteria, technical expertise and technical assistance—and that the existing contract with ServiceSource expires June 14, 2026. "The body of work is seeking continuation of providing group supported employment sites... with a ratio, I think, of 1 to 4," LaVois said.
Staff explained the county is requesting proposals for at least two sites but is not strictly limited to two; the number of sites depends on operations costs and budget constraints. LaVois also explained that when group supported employment is pursued, the county must follow DARS referral requirements and document referrals before using waiver funding for participants.
