Several community-organized events were presented to the Commission as pending receipt of insurance documentation. Joe Ungaretti and staff reported that the American Legion Anaconda A's have submitted an application and will provide insurance; Kevin and Deidre Jones described Junkapalooza as an expanding flea-market event that moved to Benny Goodman Park to accommodate more vendors and broader promotion. Ruth of Discover Anaconda (Smeltermen's Days) provided a certificate of insurance set to renew in July; County Attorney Morgan Smith said staff will approve pending the updated endorsement pages after renewal.
Kevin Jones said Junkapalooza started at a smaller site and moved to Benny Goodman Park this year to allow more vendors and publicity via local radio and papers. "We are hoping to have even more vendors this year," Jones said. Commission staff will confirm event-specific endorsements and additional-insured status before issuing final permits.
